John Cena Make A Wish Figure Available For Preorder

In an absolutely awesome way to support a great cause; Make-a-Wish, the WWE and Toys R Us are joining forces to create a limited edition John Cena figure. The special edition figure was designed by a young man named Alex who used his Make a Wish to request this to happen.

If you’re not a fan of the WWE you may not be aware of their involvement with Make-a-Wish over the years but it is huge to say the least and John Cena is by far their biggest supporter. This is the first time they have made a special figure like this and every figure sold will directly provide $1 to the Make-a-Wish organization.

I couldn’t love this story and way to support a charity more and have already preordered two of the figures from the TRU website. You can do the same here for $12.99 each and the figures will ship/release on 8/16.

WWE BootyOs Cereal Unboxing

As a dad who has loved pro wrestling since he has been a small child, I’ve passed some of that love onto my kids and my 13yr old daughter is a huge fan of the WWE’s current tag team champions The New Day.

If you’re a fan of the show you know team has their own breakfast cereal which can only be purchased at FYE stores and is usually sold out but we were lucky enough to find that at New York Comic Con this year FYE had a booth and was selling the cereal so she finally got to try her BootyOs!!

WWE x TMNT This November!!!!

I have to say in all my years of covering toys and wrestling I have never been so giddy to see a product mashup like this.

Coming this November as a Walmart exclusive, WWE and TMNT are joining together to bring us Ninja Superstars, a line of the 4 turtles in  costume as some of pro wrestlings most legendary stars. Playmates and Nickelodeon unveiled the toys during this years New York Comic Con by having pro wrestling Legend Sting appear live as well as exploring the show floor asking fans about their knowledge of all things WWE/TMNT.

The toys will give us :

Leonardo as WWE Superstar John Cena

Raphael as WWE Hall of Famer Sting

Donatello as WWE Superstar Undertaker

Michelangelo as WWE Hall of Famer “Macho Man” Randy Savage

These figures look better than anyone could have imagined and if the response from fans and my little guys are an indicator these are going to be a huge hit this holiday season.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES AND WWE TEAM UP FOR THE ULTIMATE SEWER SLAM

Nickelodeon, WWE and Playmates Toys Unveil Ninja Superstars at New York Comic Con

El Segundo, CA (October 7, 2016) – Two of the most powerful brands in the action figure business, Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and WWE, have joined forces for a one-of-a-kind collaboration, Ninja Superstars.  The co-branded action figures featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles suited up as iconic WWE Superstars were revealed during New York Comic Con today.

Playmates Toys, the longtime master toy licensee for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, developed the Ninja Superstars action figures to give fans the opportunity to take the Turtles from the sewer to the ring and determine who will be crowned the next champion of the sewers. The Turtle figures are highly detailed to capture the signature look of each WWE Superstar. Each figure stands 6” tall, is fully articulated and comes with full ring gear and all the sewer slam accessories needed to perform knockout ninja moves to take down any opponent.

Nickelodeon’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—Rise of the Super Shredder” panel, which took place earlier today at the Hammerstein Ballroom during New York Comic Con, featured a special appearance by WWE Hall of Famer Sting who unveiled the new figures.  Following the panel, the figures will be on display for fans at Nickelodeon’s booth (Crystal Palace lobby) in Jacob K. Javits Convention Center through the end of New York Comic Con on October 9, 2016.

“We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to create action figures that bring two adored brands together in a unique way,” said Karl Aaronian, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Playmates Toys. “Both Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and WWE fans will love the introduction of their favorite WWE Superstars reimagined as the Turtles as they create the ultimate sewer match.”

The Ninja Superstars assortment from Playmates Toys, which will be available exclusively at Walmart in early November, includes the following:

Leonardo as WWE Superstar John Cena

Raphael as WWE Hall of Famer Sting

Donatello as WWE Superstar Undertaker

Michelangelo as WWE Hall of Famer “Macho Man” Randy Savage

“The Ninja Superstar action figures are the ultimate mash-up of the iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and four legendary WWE Superstars,” said Jon Roman, Senior Vice President, Toys, Nickelodeon. “Passionate fans of TMNT and WWE will love this exciting collaboration from Playmates Toys that is imaginative, innovative and totally unexpected.”

“We are excited to partner with Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to create one-of-a-kind Ninja Superstar action figures,” said Casey Collins, WWE Executive Vice President, Consumer Products. “This new partnership brings together two of the most successful brands in entertainment by combining our larger than life WWE Superstars with the iconic Turtles.”

Super Shredder Returns to TMNT!

At this years New York Comic Con fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were very excited to get a look at the return of Super Shredder. The character first appeared in the 90’s film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze and was played by WWE legend Kevin Nash. The character is back and more menacing as ever as part of the Nickelodeon cartoon series as this season will add multiple threats to the series including Kavaxas who is a particularly scary new dragon/man voiced by Mark Hamill. I know my little guy was on the edge of his seat watching the NYCC clips and were both looking forward to what Season 5 has in store. You can check out the press release below as well as pics and clips from season 4 and 5.
