New LEGO Dimensions Expansions Release Today!!

Now let me preface my post by saying in the past My kids and I have very graciously been sent some LEGO Dimensions products from WB Games and have posted some sponsored content but we did so while being incredibly thankful because we honestly LOVE everything about the game.

With that said we are extremely excited that today, November 18th, is finally the day when the newest wave of LEGO Dimension Expansion packs are releasing. There is nothing My boys and I have more fun playing with than LEGOs and LEGO Dimensions has been the absolute best way possible for me to introduce them to the world of video games. The game has allowed them to begin to understand the control schemes of modern gaming while still letting them use their creativity to build and play with LEGOs as well.

As a dad I have a blast building the characters, vehicles and sets as well as exploring the digital world with them and it has been so much fun watching them come to know so many different franchises because of it. The game literally packs in most of my childhood nostalgia with everything from Batman, Back to the future and ghostbusters and is adding even more with this current Wave of expansions.

Today’s big release includes:

  • A Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack
  • A new Adventure Time Fun Pack (TRU Timed Exclusive)
  • A Gremlins Team Pack
  • An E.T. Fun Pack
  • A Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Story Pack
  • and an additional Fantastic Beasts Fun Pack

I can not wait to try out these new packs with my little guys and definitely stay with us as we will have unboxing and reviews coming along as well!

You can check out the full press release and Sonic the Hedgehog level trailer below!

Hands On With Lego Dimensions Sweet Suite

One of the most exciting things about Sweet Suite and BBNYC is getting our hands on some of the newest and most exciting toys of the year before they release. Without question the new expansions for LEGO DIMENSIONS are some that got us the most excited and we had to take some pics to share.

It was so awesome seeing Gizmo from Gremlins, Lord Voldemort and characters from Adventure Time, The A-Team, Mission Impossible and more go wild inside of a Harry Potter Quidditch stadium. The new figures look great just like the first sets and the Ghostbusters’ Chinese restaurant headquarters from the new film looked fantastic as the new base.

What I think will excite parents the most about the expansions for LEGO DIMENSIONS is that YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY A NEW STARTER SET TO PLAY. These new expansions work just like the old ones with the existing base and figures, so it just helps open up you and your children’s world of play without breaking the bank. I cant recommend the new sets highly enough and you can grab yours starting this September at all major retailers!
